Of course, that said, we all know that store bought sauces tend to be unexpected vehicles for gluten delivery. Does your BBQ sauce NEED gluten in it? Absolutely not. So why not make your own?

From dessert toppings to savory pestos, the right sauce can elevate a baked, grilled, or chilled dish pretty effortlessly. It not only adds that extra umph, but it’s the kind of thing that lends itself well to making in bulk and storing for later use whenever you darn well please. Having a sundae? Grab the chocolate sauce. Feel like grilling? Bust out the homemade marinade.
