The big game is almost here! This year gather
your friends and family and throw a gluten-free Superbowl
party!! Your mission is simple
create a game menu full
of gluten-free munchies that will score with all football
fans gluten-intolerant or not! Follow this game plan
and we are sure you will score a touch-down:
First down: Try to choose foods that
are naturally gluten-free. This is not the time to test out
those gluten-free bread sticks that youve been wanting
to try. Odds are that they may come out tasting gritty and
very "gluten-free". Stick to things that are authentic.
Second down: Choose foods that can
be consumed on the go. Grab and go is the name of the game.
Football fans dont want to be caught at the buffet table
when a critical play is taking place! Finger foods are always
good on game day.
Third down: If you are strictly going
to serve munchies and not offer a "main event" make
sure you have enough food for everyone. The rule of thumb
is 2-3 pieces of each appetizer for each guest with a total
of 6 different types of appetizers. Plan for a good variety
of food types. Its always nice to offer a balanced menu
of meats, vegetables, dips and chips.
Fourth down: Make your life easier
by making your own game plan in advance. Identify which appetizers
and other food items can be prepared a day or so in advance.
Write your game plan down starting with a day in advance and
finishing with serving time.
Touchdown: Sit back, relax, enjoy
the food & the game!
